Maintaining/Replacing the rubber gasket under the exterior plastic trim

I couldn’t find a thread addressing this topic directly, hence my question here. The rubber gasket next to the black plastic trim on our 2018 t@b 320 Outback is starting to separate from the trim. See photos attached here. Wondering if any of you have experience this before, and if so, can you describe how you dealt with it? Thank you for any ideas you might have!

I think shoe goo was recommended by many. I also think you could use geocel proflex rv sealant as an alternative. Super sticky stuff that’s meant to be used on the exterior.2021 400 BD
