2022 T@B400 BD Lithium/Solar/DC/Starlink/CerboGX Upgrade

schwartzkischwartzki Member Posts: 46
Have a upcoming 6week trip this summer out west where we are planning on living and working off grid. This required some upgrades to the Tab. Went fully DC to cut inverter losses.

Installed a 50A DC sub-panel with dedicated fuse and shutoff:
2 DC power ports under the dinette along with a high-power USBC/USBA port.
WiFi Router for Starlink
12V->48V + POE injector for Starlink
Cerbo GX with Touch50 display for monitoring

I 3D printed a new touch panel to replace the stock NuCamp one. Added dimmers for the Accent and Sink lighting

Dedicated 100/50 MPPT for the exterior 600W of Solar
230ah of Lithium - camping in generally full sun so shouldn't need a lot of backup.
The Cerbo supports Bluetooth tank level monitors so LPG, Fresh and Grey will have Bluetooth level sensors.
Have interior temp/humidity monitoring via Victron Remote Monitoring.

Walker Tent is on order to double SQ FT and likely where the dogs will spend most of their time.

Looks great! We’re upgrading to lithium in our 320S and thinking of putting in the Cerbo GX too. Thanks for sharing your custom printed panel… now we have ideas so we can ultimately ditch the NuCamp panel.

@schwartzki did you use the Mopeka BT tank sensors or something else?

Yes, the Mopeka tank sensors. Not installed on the black tank however. Still have the old touch panel above the door connected for backup.

Good to know. Was it easy to get at the bottom of the fresh and grey water tanks to install them? I guess the tank access might be different on our 320S but just curious.

It was pretty easy. Just take down the left side undercover and slap them on.
