Hello all, Newbie on first camping trip. Hooked up to shore power and city water. No hot water at sink or shower head. Plenty of cold water. My guess is I'm making a newbie mistake. Any ideas?
No sure if my valves are correct. Been trying different ways but I think I'm the issue here. Control panel fires up. Checked fuses. Everything seems fine.
@1963122 - look under the driver side bench and make sure the Alde is plugged into the 120 V outlet. If the Alde hoses are not even warm, that is a good place to start troubleshooting.
@1963122 Attached is the manual, depending on if you have the clamshell (page 53) or U, Q, L, S models (page 55) are diagrams for the various water levers for camping or non-camping mode. I printed a copy and kept it in the trailer as I could never remember! Below are the pics:
Thanks dfsdogs. Just what I needed. We have hot water. The hose from the Aldi is hot but no heat yet. Maybe I need to turn the circulation pump up higher. Going to take some trial and error to get this right.Planning next weekend trip.
@1963122 - The circulation pump only needs to be set at about 1.5 manually, not at the control panel. If you are plugged in to a home outlet that is only 15 amps, limit the Alde electric to the “1” setting, but turn on the propane, too. Turn up the thermostat. The propane will bring the temp up and then cut out until the temp drops a couple degrees, then the propane will kick in again. Make sure you have electric set as “priority”. Keep in mind that heating a very cold TaB takes some time using the radiator system compared to a traditional furnace.
