We bid a fond farewell yesterday to our 2021 T@B 320s (T@Bañita) and sent her off to further adventures with new owners.  Very excited about our new 2023 T@B 400, Redwing!

We have a 320CS towed by an Outback Onyx XT. How do you like towing the 400 with the Ascent?

@1991sb while I can't welcome you to the forum, I can say congratulations on your trailer!

May you and your new Redwing enjoy good roads and fair weather in all of your journeys. Happy T@bbing!

No problems so far.  There are quite a few Ascents towing 400s out there, so it should be fine.

How do you like the Outback Onyx XT as a TV for the 320s?  We had an Outback (not an XT, so maybe not quite the towing capacity as yours) when we got our 320s a few years ago.  After a few trips in the mountains, we decided we needed the Ascent’s greater towing capacity.

The onyx XT has plenty of power. We have the same engine and drive train as you with 800 pounds less vehicle weight. Because we use the car mostly for driving to work and are only camping on the weekends, we chose the smaller rig. We are thinking of of a more travel oriented trailer in a couple of years when we are not working full time.
