Interior vent blocks microwave removal

How can I remove this interior vent that is blocking the removal of the microwave? I don't want to damage the vent.

Here is a link to the microwave removal. The AC vent is held on by 3 tabs. Carefully pull on the outer ring and you can get the vent out of the way.
