Confused about wheel bearings

Hello, I have a used 2004 TAB that I am in the process of fixing up. From browsing these forums, it appears that TABs from that era came with wheel bearings that were sealed and could not be repacked.

However, the manual that came with the trailer (appears to be original) specifically mentions that owners need to repack the wheel bearings every 8000 miles and/or every 8 months. I have yet to take it into a shop as I'm waiting on a new hitch install. Anyone have any info that can provide some clarity to this?

Merely an educated guess: When Dutchmen introduced the german design T@b to the market they needed to provide an english language owners manual. Likely they didn't write one from scratch but used an existing manual as template. Whoever edited it probably didn't know about the intricate differences and just copied the wheel bearing section from the existing one.
