Alde Heater

I live in a cold climate where winter temps are well below freezing. My 2016 T@B 320 CSS is stored indoors, unheated during the winter months. The Century Heat Transfer Fluid guidelines state that the fluid shouldn't be stored in freezing temps. Does that mean the glycol in my T@B's Alde is no longer good?

The label on the container touts freeze protection, it doesn't start freezing until -34F und isn't frozen solid until -100F.

As for your other question about the container sitting in the sun, given that the color changed it might have broken down in one way or another.

It is bizarre that glycol is being labeled as unsafe to store in freezing temps…but isn’t that the point of glycol? That’s like saying ice cream shouldn’t be stored in freezing temps  =)

Antifreeze also had labeled on cans in the military, will freeze but when water was added to the antifreeze MAGIC happens! Hard to be true but it is! Art
