MaxxFan Deluxe RV Fan Ventilator Question

Anyone, who has installed this powered vent and fan system, do you lose the wood trim pieces on the ceiling with the 
installation. If I install this vent kit, I can clear the opening to our storage unit and still have a vent when it's pouring rain.  
We just think the interior ceiling looks more finished with the wood trim around  the Fantastic Fan,so I've been dragging my feet to install one. Just curious?

We have a MaxxFan installed and love it.  Besides using it in the rain, it is quieter and has more speed setting, which is very nice.

The install is clean, and looks good.
