Air 8 air filter

I’m looking at my a/c unit and having difficulty seeing how to remove the red plastic cover to clean the air input. The former owner must have had a long haired cat or dog. I saw fur in the air input and need to remove the cover without possibly breaking it. Any suggestions?

Around the 8:12 minute mark shows the two tabs that need to be squeezed down.  Hope this helps.  I think this was when the 400 had the Air 8, but guessing it's the same for the 320.
