My wife and I just put money down on a 2016 T@b M@x Q; silver/silver. We should be taking delivery late next week.
We started tent camping, moved on to 15 years with a popup, but had to retire it after mice devoured it one winter. For the last 4 years, we have been tenting again while getting our grandson into camping. We have been looking at various TT over the last several years, but nothing really seemed to fit. We are beyond occasional tenting, and no longer wanted the setup of a popup. While camping last weekend, we happened to have someone show up with their new T@b. Of course, we had to take a look.
We talked about it all week, and how it was the right size and offered the right amenities. We tend to be outside as much as possible and really just need a place to sleep, and cook whenever the weather is bad. Our grandson is 6, so he will fit in it for now.
We have a week vacation coming up in October, and will be visiting either the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Grand Canyon, or the Los Angeles area (family) from Mpls, MN. It will be fun to be out on the road for a long trip again. Our last one was Banff/Jasper in 2005. Needless to say, we are excited for adventures in our new trailer.
I've already earmarked cable breakaway chains and an Anderson leveler. Is a trailer cover necessary? We never covered our popup. Solar is likely down the road.
Any suggestions for a new owner?

Welcome. This is a great place to find answers. I suggest going to the tips and tricks category to the right. There is a wealth of information there for those of us who are new to this whole thing. We pick up.our T@B in May and have 8 or 9 nights so far. Great fun!2canoe, 2015 T@B Q-Max

Welcome aboard.
As 2canoe mentioned, check out the categories to the right, there's just a ton of info posted. I got my T@B last Oct and everything I know and have learned has either been through forum posts or 10 months (15,000 miles) of travel. But, don't hesitate to ask if you can't find an answer.
Also, prepare yourself for the Zombies...

Are you from Mpls or your relatives? -
I saw the zombie discussion yesterday. Humorous! And, I guess we were a pair of them briefly.
And yes, we are from Mpls, MN.

Before I hit the road last fall I spent 40+ years in the Twin Cities area. :-)
Two or three others from the area also frequent the forums. -

Woo hoo. That shakedown trip is great - we had a blast back in May. Welcome!2015 T@b S Max | 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited | was PHX East Valley, now Dallas!

Just an overnight for this weekend. Then a weekend trip in a couple of weeks, followed by 10 days to the Grand Canyon area in mid-October.
It shouldn't take us too long to get acquainted, as we simply will be transferring the knowledge from our popup days.
