Solar Panel Protective Film

I noticed that there was some plastic pealing off of our 2021 TAB 400 factory solar panel. I went up to investigate and it looks like they did not remove the protective film the solar panel manufacturer put on it for transportation. So now after baking in the southern sun for several years it's a nightmare to remove and is leaving residue that is inevitably going to get full of dirt stuck to the panel. I foresee a long day cleaning this crap off. Has anyone else had this problem and come up with a good way to remove it? I'm going to try GooGone first.

    Hi,

Here is another thread covering this topic
    Factory solar panel peeling (vanillacommunity.com)

The film is meant not to be removed.

The recommendation is to use an exacto knife or razor blade to trim the peeling plastic as close to the spot it's peeling up.

I don't know for sure who made your  panel, but on my '21 it was made by SunFlare and you can reach out to them for additional recommendations.

@Yoshi_TAB Thanks for the info. I will reach out to SunFlare for more guidance. I would say that if it was not intended to be removed it should last more than a few years.
