AIR8 flex duct material type

The 2.5 in. dia. black OEM duct from Air8 is fragile and run diagonally across space where I am siting batteries. Need to replace it.
Is it breathable to limit moisture buildup or just thin? Any reason not to use heavy vinyl?
I'd like to substitute one particular run with longer, spiral reinforced heavy vinyl dust collection hose, out through passenger wheelwell. Holds up well on concrete floor of my shop and gets stepped on a lot.
Diagonal runs not rectilinear. Conduit clip screws in nonholding Adzel. Nucamp is consistent!
