Ditched the aluminum A/C vent cover for a boat hatch.

Not the first to do it, but I’m loving how it turned out.  Hated how cheap the louvers vent cover looked and wanted to be able to seal the whole thing off but still have it accessible for when we do use the a/c.   Ordered this Starboard boat hatch off onestopmarine.net and they custom built it to my specs.  Total price was a little over $100 and they had it done in less than a week.  Super happy with how it turned out.

    One thing I'm learning about Starboard is that it has a relatively high coefficient of thermal expansion (polyethylene).  They recommend you oversize the holes in the Starboard to allow for expansion, especially with black on a light background.  Looks great!

    IT SURE DOES EXPAND IN HEAT! I mounted my hatch with magnets and when hot I have to pull hard to get it off.  Been on for 4 years now and many bumpy miles. Art
