Looking thru the Teardrop Shop I spotted this Matress topper. Has anyone bought and tried this? Because of the size of the cushions I haven't bought anything that I might have to cut down to use.
Looks like the queen is close to the clamshell bed size. The king is a bit too large for the larger bed and would probably need to be trimmed. This one is 1 inch thick and I wonder if that would be enough. I'm curious too as we will almost certainly need some additional padding.

I was looking at 2" foam but it was going to get a little pricey. My hubs suggested it buy it and try it. In its favor a 1" would probably roll up for stillage better than something thicker.
we bought the queen for our maxcss. the one inch thick foam eliminates feeling the seams of the cushions where they meet. over all, we seem to sleep much better. 2015 max css. tv 2015 jk wrangler rubicon
The problem with those thick mattress toppers (to me) is storage of a very bulky item. I can see putting it behind the seat back if you keep the seat up in the U configuration, but if you want to keep that back area as a bed/lounge for daytime naps, there really isn't a good place for the thing. That's why we went with the bedroll mod using camping sleeping pads. At least they can fit in that back bin under the side seat. But sleeping comfort is so individual. The pads may not work for all

I prefer the Thermarest or eguivelant self inflating mattress, minamal inflation time and you can control the firmness by the air pressure. Plus, roll them up and store them in the back, on the S model.
I bought a pair 1.5" dense foam pads from a local foam cutter, sized to my specifications. In my S, a single pad rolls across the back couch and can stay made up with the table up. When two of us are in the T@b, both pads roll out fore-and-aft with the table down. They both roll up and store behind the couch when we set up the table/couch.

On our Clamshell the Queen was the perfect fit width wise, but had to cut some off the length. We bought a total of 8" of memory foam (two 4" stacked). We put the cushions away, and we never set up the table.
