I have added a 100AH lithium battery inside, passengers side of bench. I have a Victron DC/DC charger, the small 18amp. I also have two solar suitcase 120 watt each and added a Victron 30amp controller just for them. I'm thinking of adding a inverter and wondering what size is best, not to under size or over size.
We're retired and mostly camp a few days at a time before going home or to another location. Sometimes we have shore power, sometimes not. I have a 2000 watt gas inverter generator and a 2000 watt solar generator too. I don't always take the gas genny with us. I'm thinking if I had a inverter installed I might not take any generator with us on short trips. I'd just like to run small electric coffee pot of the morning, not necessary to use the microwave, but it would be nice to have that option. Is a 1500 watt inverter large enough for my needs?
I'm new at having a small camper, we had a Class C and downsized. New at lithium too. After Some trips I might decide to add another 100AH battery. Thanks for any suggestions.

To run an electric coffee make or hot water kettle, you probably need a 2000W inverter. but it depends on the device you are heating. If you have the them, look at the label and see what wattage they pull when heating. That will dictate the size plus a bit of a safety factor. Whether you go 1500 or 2000W, the only differecne in the install is the size of the wires and fuse. I (and others) have installed a 2000W in a TAB 320. I used 2/0 AWG wires and a 225A Class T fuse. If you use welding type cables , they are very flexible and can route easily. If you plan to do it yourself, do a search for inverter install and you can see how I and others have done it.

Thanks so much for your info on the inverter. I think I'll use a 2000W and the cables and fuse you mentioned.
Yes, it's nice at Canaan. Try Blackwater Falls sometime. It's beautiful there but not big rig friendly.
