Would appreciate a list of things one should inspect when purchasing a used Tab 400. I'd just like to know what the big ticket items are and the best way to access and assess them.
If a thread already exists for this, please share it.

So if I were to do it today:
1. Document that Alde inspection and service have been done, with evidence that corrosion is not present.
2. Ensure wheel bearing and brake inspection and service have been done, not just EZ lube. Check emergency brake pin for function.
3. Avoid the Air8 which is undersized for hot and humid conditions. Look for a CoolCat AC and make sure it works properly and drains.
4. Document battery care has been done. First owners often kill their batteries. A resting voltage after charging and load test will determine if the battery is in good shape.
5. Check water pump, plumbing and hot water functions. Look for leaks, particularly around outdoor shower, which is a design that can leak behind the wall. Ensure low point drains operate. Pressurize with city water at proper psi and check as well.
6. Check toilet function, black tank and grey tank dump valves.
7. Check for proper drainage of bath sink. Another design issue depending on model year
8. Check that tank sensors are functioning properly
9. Check all electrical circuits breakers and fuses and the converter. Also inverter if equipped. Same for solar.
10. Check stove and propane systems. Check fans.
11. Check door and all windows and shades for proper functioning.
12. Check for caulk age and cracks around round windows and at other joint areas on camper. Get underneath and check Coroplast cover.
Thanks for the question as I now have my own check list for this year!
Others will doubtless add more good ideas.
Good luck.

Check condition of all seals outside. Resealing is a pain and hopefully the seller has taken care of this item before selling it to you.
