Confusion w R Pod??

Just curious, but does anyone else here get irritated when friends get your trailer confused w an RPod?  I recently had a friend call, wanting help w winterizing his friend’s RPod, thinking I had experience with that. I’ve had other friends say, “Oh, Bill just got a RPod too.”

I politely tell them our is not an RPod without saying anything insulting about comparing the two. But dang it, it is not an RPod!

Having owned a rPod 178 for 10 years, I can assure you the Tab is not an rPod. However, we have found it difficult to shake calling our Tab 400…the Pod.

I think it’s just a brand name/function mix up. To some a teardrop trailer is the model they are familiar with, no ill intent or disrespect. The best example would be calling any photocopy machine a Xerox, it’s just the way it is…

  • We almost bought a RPod but it didn't work out. So glad as we now know the differences. The one thing I did not like about the RPod was the way the wheels stuck out wider than the actual camper.
At the time I did not know much about the build quality.

Yup, everytime somebody comes over and sees it in the driveway they’re like “Oh, nice R-Pod.” I just say “Thanks.”
