Help With Model Years

Looking for help and feedback please. I’m a current teardrop (other brand) owner who just returned from Grand Canyon and Red Rocks Canyon 10 day trip. I absolutely love the freedom that comes with traveling this great country. However, I don’t want to do it again without central heat and an indoor bathroom. From my research the 400 seems to be my ideal trailer. I camp with a four legged traveling companion who loves my music and sleeps a lot. I would appreciate any/all feedback on the pros and cons of the different production years. I’ve read through the forums and have seen comments such as “AC after 2021 seems to work better”. I guess I’m just looking for a well cared for 400 regardless of the year but any help would be greatly appreciated. Peace from the center of flyover country here in Kansas.

Having owned the ‘21 400 and now a ‘24 400, I think it might be good to look at a gently used ‘21 400 before getting a newer 400.
Things we liked better about the ‘21:
-The dining table and seating arrangement was much more comfortable. We liked the larger table. The cushions on the 21 were great, especially compared to the ‘24 cushions which are terrible.
-We loved having no microwave and a small fridge in the ‘21. There is only one option for fridge in the ‘24 -the large fridge in the closet space.
-We liked the toilet in the -21 better than the ‘24. The old toilet felt more secure-better quality.
-We like the bathroom sink better in the ‘24. We never used the old one but use the new one all the time.
    - We got our ‘24 before the tinted windows came out. We wish we had tinted windows. Would have preferred that over the ‘21 windows.
-‘21 build quality and material quality seems better than the ‘24.

We enjoy our ‘24 400 and are thankful for it. It’s a great camper but I do miss aspects of the old one.
—We personally would never buy a 2020, because of the AC, or the 2023, because of the bunk beds.

    Hope that helps

The model year 21 possibly 22, not sure have windows with plastic hinges that are prone to failure. I have had 3 front and rear windows change out due to the hinge warping and the window detaching from the trailer. I finally purchased the new windows that needed to be retrofitted onto the trailer. Make sure the trailer has the new metal hinged windows on it, I am not sure what year they made the switch.

You are right about the ‘21 windows. One of our windows fell out sometime just before we got our new trailer. I don’t t think we knew the reason why. Perhaps it had the plastic hinges? I’m not sure.
