Replacing Missing Trim

I lost a section of trim driving in very high winds. My trailer is a 2021 T@b 320S and it is the section of trim over the bathroom on the driver’s side. I did not notice it blow off in real time as I can’t see that section in my side view mirror. The remaining sections don’t appear damaged, though I had to tape it down to reduce vibration.

Two questions for the forum:
- Does anyone know where to source a replacement? Does nuCamp sell?
- Is it difficult to install the replacement once I have it?

Those trim pieces on the 2021 are a known problem.

NuCamp sold those in the past. You’ll probably have to go through a dealer. It looks like the clips remained in the track when the trim blew off so you won’t need those. It’s a bit of a pain to install, but not too bad if you take your time. I cleaned out the track and used an adhesive in addition to the clips when I worked on mine (see the above discussion).

I don’t know if this will be an issue, but I wonder if the color will match, given that the existing trim has been exposed to the sun for several years. Not much you can do about that.

    Good luck!

@62across, you should be able to get it from nuCamp, but as @WayneW suggests, you have to go through a dealer.

I recommend that you contact Missouri Teardrop Trailers - - I have had very good success with them in the past - - very good customer service.

Send them a request via E-mail
parts@Missouriteardrops.com describing what you need (specifying that you need the driver's side section depicted in your photo.)  Be sure to include the model and year of your T@B, the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), trim color, the address and phone number where you want the part shipped to, and a photo of the trim piece.

You can inquire as to whether nuCamp has the part available and request a price quote.  Missouri Teardrop will contact nuCamp and provide you a price for the part, as well as the cost for shipping.  If nuCamp has it, they will ship it directly to you, but you pay the dealer.

    Good luck!

This stuff has become a real disaster.
What should an owner do to make sure this doesn't fly off the trailer?  Would the suggestions previously of using "helicopter tape", etc, at least prevent it from flying away and costing tons of money to replace?  Here is a comment about the "cracks" in the previous editions of the ABS trim.
If I had a trailer with this "flyaway" trim, I think I would lock it down.
