Installing the Furrion Vision S three camera setup

BlueespyBlueespy Member Posts: 230
Greetings.  Our single Furrion rear camera needs replacing and we are considering installing the new Furrion Vision S three camera setup.  I know nucamp is offering this as an option now but I think we can do the replacement/install ourselves.  My problem is I think we may need to remove the black plastic "diaper" I'm sure nucamp doesn't call it that, so we can gain access to the rear brake lights.  Has anyone removed the diaper?

I have the same question for that product, so I asked NuCamp about it and for an electrical schematic.
here is there response ( yet to hear back on follow up email given below)

Unfortunately, we don't have a schematic available to share at this time.  If you're looking for a reliable power source, the junction block for the 7-pin connector would make the most sense (you'd run the wire under the length of the trailer, possible under the under-belly sheild), as you would only need the camera when towing, so you can utilize the tow vehicles power as opposed to the camper's battery.  If you require more extensive help, I'd recommend reaching out to tech@nucamprv.com.

After reading a good number of reviews, we decided not to go with the three camera setup, simply a new camera for the rear and a larger monitor for the tow.  As for install, I removed the old camera by removing the four screws, detached the camera from the mount and simply unplugged it.  Reversed with the new camera, powered the trailer and new monitor and everything worked perfectly.
