Jensen radio BT capability

I think I know the answer to this (no), but I will ask. Can I BT a movie from my phone to the Jensen JQM70A stereo deck and have that display on the TV through the hdmi cord? I see no BT option for the Jensen TV directly.

User Manual says No.     As BT is limited to Audio (music) only on that model

Yes.  We do it all the time.  We use an Apple video adapter to connect the HDMI to our iPhone, and the audio gets picked up by the Jensen and comes through the Jensen stereo.

As @Horigan said, get a USB to HDMI adapter for your phone or tablet. That will include the video, and audio, which plays over the jentsen, although there is no Bluetooth involved in this setup.

Okay, I can hdmi out of my tablet. I’m hooking that into the hdmi port of the tv? I’ll look but does it have more than one hdmi port? I assume in order for the stereo to pick up the audio the hdmi running from the tv to the stereo would have to be still connected.

You know what, I just took a look at the wiring and I'm going to have to revise my earlier comment! I'm not 100% sure that the HDMI will feed the radio in the way you want. The TV has two ports but I'm not sure if one will act as an output to the stereo. I think it will and the adapter cable is cheap so give it a try. (I used it once but then removed the TV all together. I value the space more, so I installed shelving in that area. If we ever need to watch anything we do that on a tablet or laptop with sound to a Bluetooth speaker or wireless earbuds.) good luck!

I run my Playstation through the HDMI port on the Jensen Radio head unit. The audio and video are passed on to the TV. The sound is played on both the Radio and the TV but are controlled by their individual remotes, both work but volume levels are set  independently.

On our 2019 400 we use an older version of this adapter with a short HDMI cable to feed video into the TV.  The audio goes via BT to the Jensen.

@Explorers2, although it is not specifically responsive to your question, here's another discussion thread that may provide some additional info for consideration:

Thx. TourDeFourth, I don’t think my Jensen radio unit has an hdmi port handy. I see only a usb in front. How do you access that?

I have the Jensen JWM22 installed in my Tab 320s. It has both an HDMI and a USB port on the faceplate. I don’t think your Jensen model supports video playback. The USB port is pretty much only for MP4 music playback (and charging.) you probably have an HDMI out port on the back to play DVDs on your TV, like the traditional set top DVD players of yore…

your best bet is the adapter shown above connected to the tv HDMI port perhaps with audio via Bluetooth to the Jensen.

I think that the JWM70A only has one HDMI port. To access it you need to pull the head unit out of the cabinet.
If your TV is connected to the head unit via an HDMI cable, I'd leave that alone (I have an older T@B with the TV connected to the head unit via an AV cable). I don't see any other video input into that head unit. I think that the USB port will only play audio files.

I think that your TV probably only has one HDMI input. You could try finding a Bluetooth receiver/transmitter with video capability to plug into the TV, but be forewarned that you have an iPhone, Apple devices can be a bit persnickety about transmitting video wirelessly. I'm skeptical that would work. Your best bet would probably be to temporarily unplug the HDMI from the TV and plug your phone into the HDMI port using an HDMI adapter. Again, if it's an iPhone and you want to play DRM protected content (e.g. Netflix) be sure to buy only the Apple branded adapter. Unfortunately, the audio will not go to the stereo. If you want better sound, you could get a cheap bluetooth transmitter and plug it into the TV's headphone jack and transmit audio to a Bluetooth speaker.

Haha, sounds complicated. Maybe I’ll just read a book!
