Hail damage

I have a 2023 320 and suffered a bit of hail damage on the back half of the roof. It is approximately 12-15 dings, not too noticeable or very large, but still there. The insurance company will cover roof replacement and I have been debating if it is worth the repair effort and time. The closest dealer is 5 hours away, so repair would result in two trips. Also, what are the risks of removing the roof, solar panel, Yakima rack, and back bumper bars? If the damage is cosmetic, is it better to just live with it? Or does the hail damage reduce the value/resale enough that it is worth the effort? If anyone has dealt with this dilemma, I really appreciate you sharing your input/experience!

Another question is if anyone had their roof replaced, did you experience any issues following the repair? Leaks, issues with window, etc. Also, what does the repair do with the solar panel, is it reused or replaced?

On my 2021 roof replacement required a trip back to the factory. ~$7,000. Included replacing the solar panel which was fine but couldn't be removed and reused.
I chose to not have it replaced. Made little difference when selling it.2021 T@B 320 S Boondock

i had a rock strike about 6 inches from the front window drivers side that created a significant deformation. sent it back to the factory and they replaced the entire skin. Took several months. looked and felt brand new.

While attending uCamp in 2023 a hail storm did a lot of damage to my 400 and my truck. nuCamp replaced my roof and diamond plate. The result is good. No leaks. The front window black rubber seal isn't lined up as well as the original but no leaks. I scheduled the service in advanced, since I live in my 400 they worked with me, took 5 days.2019 T@B400
