Our fan stopped working when we had the vent cover open. I traced the problem to the switch that keeps the fan off when the cover is closed.

It’s a pretty crude design and it appears the plastic insulator that the post slides up and down in had worn and plastic dust and corrosion was keeping it from making consistent contact.

I replaced it with the following part that I found on Amazon:
https://a.co/d/0gI5YFE1It is possible to replace this without removing the fan by accessing the switch from the top of the camper when the cover is open. I opted for removing the fan plate inside and removing the fan blade to access the switch from inside the camper. I used an 11mm wrench to remove the switch.
One wire plugs into the bottom of the switch and the other wire has a round terminal connector that sits underneath the nut on the top of the switch.

I probably could have cleaned the switch, but once removed it’s simpler to replace it to be on the safe side.
