Alde 3030+
The Alde 3030+ in the haven 220 as water settings of on, boost, and auto. DO NOT use the auto setting, lol. This appears to have been designed for the 3kw units sold in 220v europe. It will automatically boost on demand in those situations. I had the unit set to auto, and inadvertently had both gas and electric on after boondocking. According to the manual (which I did not read until after, lol) - the 3030 will attempt to use both gas and electric to accommodate auto. This resulted in a glycol over heat error being set, which locked out heat and hot water in the system. After some research I found that the only way to clear this is to access the Alde panel and disconnect/reconnect the 12v supply to the pc board. Curiously, this is the only way to clear most major system warnings - the reset in the menus doesn't do anything but your settings changes.

There has been some back and forth on the "resetting" of the Alde when any of the errors occur, especially with the newer Alde 3030.
Back when the Alde first came out, the only way we knew to "clear an error" was to tear the trailer apart, take the bed up, open up the Alde service hatch, and disconnect that 12V cable to the control panel.
About a year later, we figured out the easiest way (without dismantling the entire trailer) was to turn off the Alde, disconnect from shore power (if applicable) and turn off the battery disconnect switch. Wait a moment, turn the switch back on, and try the Alde again.
So: I am very interested to know if the "turn off the battery switch approach" still works to clear an Alde error on the 3030. I've seen the manuals that describe the process you mentioned above, but the inconvenience of having to take the bed apart is…unfortunate. ( I would dearly love to have a NuCamp rep and an Alde rep on a camping trip in the middle of the night and be able to have errors and problems pop up in the middle of the night and see their reactions!)

Unfortunately it does not. I tried that first. Shore power disconnected, alde off and battery disconnect did not do the trick. Luckily, in the haven the alde is under one of the dinette seat cushion and is not bad to access.

I had a similar issue with the 3030. Even though we were on shore power the system was locked out for hot water and kept trying to default to gas. The main battery disconnect switch disconnects everything including the Alde, but doesn't the solar remain connected? Maybe that's why you have to pull the plug physically, at least during the daytime. That is the only way I got mine to reset; just disconnect all wires from the Alde board wait 30 sec for any capacitors to drain and then plug it back in!

Just Some Rambling Thoughts.
Perhaps gkreirzburg did not wait long enough for the 3030 Control Board and Control Panel to fully power-off. That is fully discharge all voltages stored in the various circuits of the PCBs.
The ADLE only uses 12VDC to power the PCBs; no shore power = no converter output, battery switch off = no 12V to trailer. That's 100% the same for the ALDE as having the 12VDC Connector unplugged and reinstalled.
So more wait time is needed or nüCamp connected the Alde directly to the battery (unlikely).

We actually had the camper back to nucamp a couple weeks after we got it for a wiring issue. This involved the solar panels being wired improperly and would actually shock you if you were grounded and touched anything on the frame, like the bumper. They said the fixed several wiring issues but did not elaborate. Perhaps I did not wait long enough.

We need someone to test if the Alde 3030 is now a brand new parasitic drain in the camper, and how much that drain is.

From an electricians point of view, that 12v has got to come from somewhere. I would find that source. Perhaps I need to look into this if clearing faults is a real issue. As someone else mentioned, you probably need to disconnect from shore power, turn battery disconnect off and then wait for maybe 5 minutes for all capacitors to drain in all the 12v devices. Several things will have capacitors to store power like the TV, Radio, USB ports etc. I would suspect the 12v fridge has the largest capacitors, so give it a few minutes.

good call, there were things plugged into usb ports and such. I would hope clearing faults will not be an ongoing issue, lol. So far just the one and everything else has been working splendidly.
