Was at the NuCamp factory recently for some warranty work and was lucky enough to spot a Haven 220 Boondock / Black Canyon edition . Was possibly a prototype sitting at the NuCamp service center .

It had no license plate on it , and it was empty . Was given the Ok to have a look inside (have never been inside a Haven yet) , so it must have been a prototype / test mule.

Looked pretty sweet I must say . Was a pretty noticeable difference between the standard Haven model and this Boondaock Haven . It sat quite a bit higher , and looked way more Rugged ! I think I could be talked into a Haven 220 BD twin bed now ! Just dont love the u-shaped dinette . Would rather just have a couch .

We have a Haven and were at the nucamp rally in August and saw the Haven Boondock. Having been in our Haven since Dec 2025, here are the differences. I think the Boondock is on a 3% pitch axle. We had nucamp swap our original axle for a 3% to give us additional clearance in April. The bathroom door on our Haven opened towards the exterior door. On the boondock, it opens towards the dinette. It's important to note that as it comes seriously close to hitting the TV. We just removed the door and hung a nice decorative heavy material curtain. The white interior walls and along the bottom of the dinette in our Haven have been changed to match the cabinets in the Boondock. The head board cabinets are different but to be honest, I think those in the normal Haven are much better. The tires on the boon dock are Rainer I think. Same model that was on our 2019 t@b 400 BD. If I remember right, the only place to get replacement Rainer was from nucamp. I think they are also a Chinese import. The biggest difference is not noticeable and its because they are tank heaters, making the Haven boon dock four season. The rear bumper has been redesigned but in my view not in a good way. They removed the sewer hose compartment, so now there is no place to store your stinky hose.

The rear hitch is under 2" and rated at only 160lbs so not sure how useful it is.

On a funny note, many of the things we saw in the boon dock we had done to our Haven. We had some warranty work at the factory in April and at that time they swapped our axle to a 3% pitch. When we picked our rig up, we were told the tech and design team had spent several hours inside ours looking at our mods (to help with the white interior walls at areas of high traffic, like under the dinette, we had a friend to a nice sea theme wrap). We joked with Marvin that nucamp took some of our mods and moved them to the boon dock, so perhaps we should get some kick back. It was all in good fun.
