Changing from stock Fantastic Fan to MaxxAir

I am taking out the original Fantastic fan and replacing it with the four speed exhaust only MaxxAir. I am taking pictures. I am saving the forward/reverse switch from the old fan to put it on the new. I did a bench test with it wired in and it blows in and out now. Keep posted for the pictures.

Be aware of the roof thickness on the MaxxAir fans. I swapped out the bath fan in my 400 for an exhaust model (not one of the Deluxe models). and found it was too thick for the roof diameter. I trimmed around it but double check. as I think the roof thicknesses are all the same in the T@bs

They now make a low profile version that works in the bathroom.

You had me worried for a minute. I dropped in the new fan and it seems to come out flush with the ceiling. Either they fixed that problem or I inadvertently got the low profile model. Thanks for the heads up

The main cabin isn't an issue. It's the bathroom that gets thin, at least on a 400.

Glad it fits. That looks exactly like the one I put in my bathroom. I love it which is why I just trimmed it out rather than changing to the lower profile fan.

Thanks @Horigan I had no idea the roof dimension changed in the main cabin.
