Winter Camping in Ohio

I put together some resources for Ohio State Parks that offer winter camping and I thought I would share. It is not unusual for me to make a last minute decision to take a weekend camping trip and this will help me cut sown the research time. I also detailed which parks have WiFi in case I would like to try to work from a park.

Thank you for this information, Jenn. Unfortunately, the spreadsheet would not open, and the Bing map did not show any parks. But, I now know which parks I can visit this winter if the camping bug hits. West Branch near Ravenna looks good.

I noticed the spreadsheet seemed to hang when you cock the link. Try to right click and open in a new tab if this link does not work. I think it might be the short URLs I used.

Have you been to clifty falls in Indiana (near madison)?  Open in winter and is a gem of a park also.

Thanks mash2. That's about 50 miles away. I forgot about it. Are the restrooms open?

I think you'd have to call to see what was available, but here is a list of Michigan campgrounds open in the winter: http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,4570,7-153-10365_10883-88991--,00.html

the indiana state parks indicates it is open year round.  I can't confirm restrooms are open.
