Battery not charging

I bought a used t@b and have been figuring things out as I go. I am brand new to all of this so with that said here is my problem/question. I believe my battery should be charging when I plug the t@b in to the garage. Nothing is happening, but I took a car battery charger and plugged it inside the trailer and hooked it to the battery. Everything works just fine when I do that. Shouldn't the trailer be charging the battery when it gets plugged in? Any ideas where to start if it is? I'm not going to fix that myself but I would like to give my brother a little heads up when I bring it to him for some of the repairs.

Check the fuse box for starters. There are a couple of fuses that pertain to charging in there.

Also check the in-line fuse on the wire at the battery.

The short answer is yes it should charge the battery while plugged in. Things to check
    Does the outlet have power
Are the fuses and breakers in the T@b good
Is there a hidden battery disconnect switch somewhere
Is the fuse on the battery good (30 amp)

    What year is your T@b?

    Oh and welcome aboard!!
