Trufuel for Generators

I came across a product called Trufuel at Home Depot today. A man also there told me that he uses the stuff to fuel his Honda EU2000i generator after the Honda service tech recommended it after having to have the generator repaired because it was gummed up. It is quite expensive, but I was wondering if anyone on the forum has used it or have any other thoughts about it other than its' cost. Thanks!

Haven't used it - After 15 months on the road, the Honda's still just purring along - running it as I type.

Sounds like bottled water for generators.  Use premium fuel (non-ethanol if you can find it) and you'll have no worries.

We have a Honda 2000i run it run it run it is they key. We also put Sta Bil in the fuel Also agree strongly with DB_Cooper. The non ethanol is great if you are going to store if for a long period of time

The ethanol fuel is known for absorbing moisture, separating, and turning to gel/gum if it isn't kept fresh. Boaters have a tough time with it.

I use Marine StaBil in any machine that I don't use all the time. StaBil's a seasonal fuel-storage additive. They've been around as long as I can remember.

It might be cheaper than "TruFuel".
