    However I did learn one little trick over the last 28 years.  It is a whole lot easier (and possible) to convience the wife's, best friend, sister, mother, co worker, etc than it is to convince the wife.  She just might listen to one of them and then it was not your idea if she hates it...!!!

    Good stuff. As for me and my Mrs., we checked one out a dealer in our state. She's the one who got excited about it. It was an easy sell for me cuz I couldn't believe she was into it! We're both on the last half of our 60s so a built in potty was a given. Heck, I don't know anyone who enjoys hiking to the john in the rain anywhere.That's why indoor plumbing is popular even here in Ky. ;)  She's reluctant about using the shower but will use it if the camp shower is to far away or below her standards. Camping was something we'd only done maybe 3 times in our 49 years of marriage but it was an easy decision to make. Ten months now and we're both still loving it. It may be helpful to take your wife on just one nighters. We usually do 2 or 3 nights out at a COE campground. The longest out for us was 9 nights from our home in North central Ky to Sarasota and back. We even did 2 nights at Wal-Marts.

    @KyBawpaw wow, what a story! You've even done Wally Worlds! Finding a new and exciting thing to do together must be wonderful. I can't imagine life without camping of some sort. Been doing camping since before I was a wee little "Brownie" in the Girl Scouts (yes, I sold the cookies!).
