Traveling with solar panels

For those of you with solar panels, how do you store them? In your TV or T@B? Standing up or laying down, or leaning at an angle? If you pad around them, what do you use? We got a sweet deal on the behemoth Zamp 200's, so I'm looking at a good way to travel with them.

Mine (120w) sit upright behind the drivers seat - angled back from the floor. Helped Verna with her 200s and I'd have to put them sideways across the back seat. She keeps hers laying flat on top of stuff in the back of her pickup.

I have a full-size SUV. I slide the case next to the Windows standing upright. I have a ratcheting strap the goes from the 3rd row seatbelt connection at the top, to the second row seatbelt connection on the floor. The Strap keeps the Zamp firmly against the inside of the vehicle and out of the way.

We have the zamp 120 suitcase. We travel with it in the t@b. It fits nicely on the ledge in the bathroom. I put a piece of foam trimmed from our mattress topper on the ledge with the sample on top. I use another small piece of foam between the toilet and sample keeping it wedged snugly against the wall. The weight practically keeps it in place but the foam is just a little insurance. Has worked for us but we haven't travelled thousands of miles yet.

I pondered the same thing when I got my 100W Renogy suitcase--I wanted something that was not only secure, but also easily accessible for daily deployment. It ended up sitting upright on the little jump seat in the king cab of my Nissan Frontier. A short bungee cord secures the suitcase handle to the headrest of the seat. No additional padding required.
