Bathroom walls

We would like to add clothes rod above the toilet to hang clothes. At present they are all in bags in the car. How thick are the walls? Is it safe to screw a rod holder into them? Have people tried spring loaded adjustable rods? We wouldn't travel with clothing hanging and even without clothing would the trailer movement during towing dislodge the rod? The trailer is new and we are loathe to start screwing things into the walls! How about some suggestions please

It's hard to screw anything into the walls as they are just a thin wallboard with foam behind. so not much to hold anything. People have used the spring loaded. You might also see what the Command Hook system from 3M might have. CH is very popular here with the members.

Also, consider using the wooden valance to support a rod. You can screw into the woood.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

In this thread I use CH to attach a closet rod bracket to the wall - Not using it for clothes rod though. Had to dbl up to get thickness. Rod has held well for over a year...
