During our last camping outing my wife suggested that I build small shelves for our phone and glasses while in bed. Here's what I came up with.

I cut six 3" x 8" rectangles from 1/4" birch plywood. The top was made from two of the 3" x 8"s glued together. I used 3" machine screws from the top, and lock nuts on the bottom. I secured each shelf under the speaker box with glue and pin nails.
