Added PVC pipes for storage on Outback cargo rack

My recent modification was to add two sewer PVC pipes for storage in the cargo rack on my Outback.  One end has a sealed cap and the other end has a screw on cap.   The sewer pipe size is 3".  The heavier type PVC 3" pipe did not fit between the bars of the rack.   The longer one is to store the cook-fire tripod and the shorter one is for the hot dog sticks.

Below the pipes in the cargo rack, there is room for milk crates, buckets or other gear.  All of which will then be tied down appropriately.  I have moved the spare tire to my TV --- My thought is that when I need to change the tire by myself it will be easier for me to get the tire out of the TV than down from the cargo rack.

What have others done to use the cargo rack?

Enjoy!
