No brands mentioned here but some useful information: http://www.alde.se/usa/support/faq/ Any brand of ready-mixed as described should work fine. However, note the instructions not to top if off. Max level = 1cm above minimum mark when cold.

Way, way, way back when, before you could get it from the factory (Elsie), the recommendation was Sierra LowTox. Out of all the auto parts stores I called, only one had it.
What levels are you seeing in the expansion tank when the glycol is hot versus cold? I noticed the Alde FAQs page mentions replacing the glycol every 2-5 years depending on quality. I assume we got the good stuff. The other thread mentions you can top off with distilled water if necessary, but that will obviously dilute the mix if repeated too often. Too often would also imply a leak.

We have a 2015 Outback that'll be 2 years old next Spring. Checked the glycol level before putting to bed for the winter. Level was about half way between full and low mark when cold. Have not checked when hot. Was planning to add a little next Spring. Not sure when I'll replace it, looks clear and green.
Half way between Min and Max when cold is plenty. That is close to the recommended cold level for a unit like ours -- "about .5 inch (1 cm) above MIN".

Here's what I bought last year for about $23 a gallon on Amazon. Just Googled it and saw it for $16.79 a gallon elsewhere.
