Someone suggested putting together a list of  attendees that would like show off their favorite mods and ideas. We could also list items we would like to sell. To save time and  eliminate the need for one person to  compile such a list. I would like to use this thread for anyone interested in such an activity. Simply list your name and site#  along with a  brief  description of what you have to offer. With such a large group I for one do not want to miss a thing. Even if you have a  similar idea to someone else please share it.

(I helped with the spelling and the year--Verna)

Some of my modifications were not done by me (I made mods when I special ordered my T@B) and a friend did a few) but I'm including them anyway and have used the "star system" Frank mentioned:

Ordered large cabinets in back. I combined the "S" and "L" models*****
Friend installed wire shelving in the large back cabinets*****
Friend installed wire springs to front cabinets to hold up when opened*****
Had split cushions made instead of long ones (this enables me to have a twin bed set up and still have a seating area*****
Had spare tire mounted on tongue***
Installed sewer hose along side of tongue (aka, Verna's setup)****

I might have some small items to sell but need to assess and then list.

No problem. I would love to help. Let me know if you are having trouble finding the right parts. Most of the parts come from Home Depot. A couple of the parts can only be found at an RV supply.

May I ask a dumb question please? My T@B is new and because it is winterized, I've never emptied the lines before.  Is it easier with just one combined access point?

I would think it would be, you don't have to switch the sewer hose between two different outlets when dumping which can get messy if you're not careful

True and if you are lucky enough to have full hookups you don't have to switch back and forth.

LauraRey - Personally I've never had a problem switching between outlets - never a mess. Guess I've just got better technique than these guys. :-) :-)

  • dale: I would love to do this mod. Are you going to do it at tabazona-is it really that easy? If so, can you tell me what parts to get? Thanks.

All but 3 of the parts can be found at Home Depot or Lowe's. These 3 parts can be found at an RV parts supply store or Amazon.

I will have a trailer cover which was bought on Amazon to fit an R-Pod, 18 ft. I used this on my T@B for 1 year, and while it was a little big for the T@B,  I used bungee cords to secure it and it worked just great.  It's in excellent shape, used in Arizona, so no snow on it and not much rain at all -- mostly for sun protection.  Looking to sell it for $75.00 OBO.  I'll also have a Trimax wheel lock for $25 OBO.  Can't wait to see everyone. :):)

    Dale - Was surprised you hadn't :-)
  • Wanderoo, is the Trimax the one that just goes around the wheel, not the one that also covers the hubcap area?

If you don't have the Outback platform and ground clearance is a non-issue, I strongly recommend Dale's single outlet discharge mod (Pop-tab's is equally effective).

I like to back flush my gray and black tanks to keep them clean and smelling good.  As good of and idea this might be it would not allow me to properly flush out my tanks as they are different sizes.

How does different sized tanks effect proper flushing?
