Just wanted to say thanks to all who have posted helpfull discusions from mods, things you cant live without and instructions including Alde issues. Ive spent $1100 ish at The teardrop shop, Amazon and our local camping world to kit up the new T@B. Over 30 hours reading up on 2016 and later T@B systems and no complaints with any of it.
Our 2010 was a base unit, 2 way, simple furnace etc. Our new Outback with the Alde unit was "prepped and ready" at the dealership 600 miles away and as tired as I was getting there and sleeping in the back of the rig for a few hours, trusted them that everything worked---ha! With the help of all of you, I have successfully eliminated the Alde gurgle, hoter than luke warm water, purged air and have the heat system working well and not plugged to shore power!
We have several items like the jack e up, XL visor, exterior table mount, slat kit, door springs, 9x12 mats, group 27 and minkota case mod going on and our first trip this weekend 5 days after purchase. We camp 40 out of 52 weekends and 99% of it is off grid. A vanagon, lilguy off road teardrop and a 20' 1960 Avion have been our primary freedom vessels with an occasional Rubicon trail and beach weekend camped in the Jeep.
Even though we seem like we know what we are doing, this forum has been so valuable with your shared information , jokes and kindness. Thank you.
Jon and Jess
