i use to have categories on right hand side of forum....
i do not anymore and have searched for them 
did you hide them somewhere or remove??
like to look for sale items!

I turned my iPad and tapped left side and appeared! Liked it better on right automatically appeared!

Hmmmm...Must be an iPad thing, or just a gentle persuasion required.  Mine used to be on the right as well, changed with the new format a couple weeks ago. Takes a little getting used to.

On my iPhone, to return to the mobile site from the full site, I must clear the Safari web history.  Then when I open the forum, it is in the mobile format.

Heh! Just noticed that cuz you mentioned it. 

I guess I don't use them much.

Landscape mode on Android brings the menu up, as well.
