Lagun Table adjustment

When the seat back is in the vertical position the lagun table can't be rotated into the "long" position, it hits the seat back.

Has anyone relocated where the table top is located on the support bracket? Seems like it wouldn't be too hard as it only attached with 6 wood screws.

If so , how did it work?
