National Parks Senior Pass Increase

I was at Antietam National Battlefield last week and found out that the National Parks and Recreation Pass (Old Gyzer Pass) that I purchased for $10 two years ago is going to increase to $80 later this year.  I recommend anyone 62 and older with intentions of traveling to these places in the coming years get it before the price increase.

This is a lifetime pass so if you purchased for $10 you will not have to pay any increase as long as you don't lose the one you have.

This is something that has been bantered around for a while now.  IMHO even st $100 for a lifetime pass this is a heck of a bargain.

When my nephew was born, my Dad got him a NC Lifetime Fishing and Hunting license because it was way cheap. Dad's was cheap when he bought his because he was over 62 at the time. Too bad they don't have a program like that. Buy a Lifetime Pass for your kiddo or grandkid at a discounted rate, or even by a Lifetime Pass anytime (but it would be more expensive until SS retirement age).
