New T@B owner with Power questions.

New T@B owner and so excited! Picked up a 2015 CS. Curious about a few things and wanted to see what kind of answers I could find - 

The battery has been dying after about 5 days when it storage. Ive turned on the lights and fan a few times to check it out but not much use at all. Unplugged the TV's and the radio to try and cut back on un needed power draws while not in use. I am thinking of disconnecting the fridge because we won't use it, is that a good idea? wondering if anyone has done that and / or if there's anything I should be careful of? 

Any recommendations on what solar panels to get? I see that Zamp is the main brand they recommend but wondering if anyone has any luck with an alternate brand at a cheaper price? Or is Zamp the best way to go.

We bought a 2015 max s in march. Can't answer about the solar panels but the battery should have a switch to kill the power located on top of the battery. When in storage would be best to kill the power going from the battery. Something like the Jensen lights may be draining it. We keep ours hooked to power when not in use.

My 2015 T@B s max doesn't have a switch so I physically remove the leads from the battery terminals which isn't a big deal.  This stops the phantom draws.  I also keep a battery tender running on the battery when stored.  My trailer is in my garage for storage.

Have some solar panel searches.  You will find many suggestions on panel size, connections, etc from the very simple to the sublime...it isn't hard.  I use a Renogy 100 watt panel.

Your options are to keep the trailer connected to power, or disconnect the battery.

I really wish my 2016 came with a battery disconnect switch to make it easier.

If plugging in, 15A is fine if not under heavy use.

@rythmatix, I had similar issues with my brand new 2015 T@B S. Even with everything turned off, there still appears to be significant phantom drain from various LEDs, safety detectors, and the like. Five days does seem a little quick for the battery to die completely, but if it's a used battery who knows what condition it was in when you got it.

Battery disconnects did not come standard until after 2015. Most of us with older trailers installed our own after quickly becoming convinced of their necessity!
