Outback Platform

For those who added the Outback platform and had to deal with hard to reach tank gates - what did you do for a solution? I am not interested in doing the single tank gate mod, I just want to be able to reach the black tank without too much difficulty. I am thinking I need a tank extension but if anyone knows the size or sizes, it would be appreciated.

I bought mine at Camping World... "Clearview 5" Sewer Adapter with Bayonet Lugs".  They also have a 10" extension.

@Aussie, to clarify, you carry the adapter and at the dump station get down and place it on the black water outlet, and when finished there, move it to the gray outlet, is that right?

I just put on a clear elbow extension, works well

@twojgrams... nope, it stays on permanently.  There is also a 90 degree adapter you can use on the gray tank.  They were a lifesaver on my back until I had my tanks modified into one outlet.  I still use the 5" extension.

@Aussie Thanks! Lying down on the ground isn't hard, it's the getting up part! I think it has to do with gravity?
