@Torzanne - Great idea to get inland. My folks live in Santa Rosa and couldn't see the sun at all. Looks like you were in a good spot enjoying the moment with your four legged friend!

@Jeanne and @Twojgrams - I agree... Awesome pic! So cool in totality when you could put the glasses aside and just stare in wonder and amazement with everyone applauding!

Took the T@B up to Grandjean Idaho. Boise had something like 99.5 % eclipse, were as Grandjean had 2 minutes of totality. I have to say, 99.5% eclipse is about 1% of the experience. Seeing the flaming corona surrounding the blackness of the moon with your bare eyes during totality was simply awesome. I can understand why people become eclipse hunters.
I wound up in Esterbrook, WY, dispersed camping for five days in the Medicine Bow National Forest. Lots of people camping, and the Forest Service employees went above and beyond the call of duty to see everyone was safe and reasonably happy. I spotted two other Tabs in my general vicinity, and had a nice talk with each owner.
And, the Totality was a stunning experience. I'll just leave it there. (There is a faint star about 7 o'clock from the "moonsun.")
