Hi, I put a generator box for my Honda EU2000i between the front jack and the propane/battery box, with less than 1/4 " to spare on each side. The box is bolted to the frame. I had the box from an earlier camper. They are custom made by
http://www.kshmarine.com/generator_box.htm. That box now also contains the power cable, a 10 feet sewer hose complete with connectors and a cordless drill to operate the leveling jacks. The two attached pictures show the box and its contents.

This is a great box I use just for my inverter. From Kotula's for about $129.

Thanks for the info Richard! I noticed on their website that they also will make a custom tongue box.

1) Having a generator on the tongue means it's fairly close to the front window. Are you concerned about carbon monoxide making its way into the RV?
2) Having the generator box mounted to the frame seems like it would transmit vibration into the cabin. Is it noticeable? Did you mount it with rubber bushings or other sound absorbing material?
3) Is the Honda 2000i strong enough to start and run your A/C?
Thanks for any info.
