Hey everyone,l I know water freezes at 32 degrees but at what point and temperature should we pull over while driving in the fall to winterize our camper and is it necessary while traveling? Thanks for your comments
I believe it's generally thought that if the temp goes below freezing --just-- overnight but back up above 32 the next day (and you're running heat inside the camper), antifreeze is probably not necessary. It's when it stays below 30 or so for an extended time, say 12 hours or more, and especially if it's in a windy area, then winterizing would be a very good idea.
If you look in the Heating/Plumbing/Water/Winterizong category on the left of the discussion area, there are many discussions on how to winterize. The reading is very informative and has been contributed by the many knowledgeable members here.
