Loose tail light

I have a tail light that is loose.  I assume when I had my dealer install my backup camera, they did not reseal it well.  I could take it back to the dealer to have them fix it, but it is a two hour round trip and seems like it should be easy to fix myself.  My question is, does anyone know what kind of sealant would be the best to use?  Also, if I do fix it myself, will it affect my warranty?  I thought about asking my dealer, but since they obviously either forgot to reseal it, or used a sealant that didn't work...I thought I might ask some of the people on here.  I have noticed there are quite a few here that really seem to know their stuff!  Thanks

There is no sealant around the taillight. Can you post a pic of what you feel is loose?

Will do as soon as the rain and wind stop.  We are waiting for Irma to pass!  The round red plastic part is loose and it looks like there was some kind of adhesive that held it in.

Wow, well stay safe. Mine is held on with 2 screws. No goop. What year and model?

@TikiBarTab, it sounds like you are describing the reflector rather than the tail light itself.  (The reflectors sit above and a little outside the tail light.) Both of mine (2015-S) did the same thing after one year. I just pulled them off, cleaned them up, and reattached them with some heavier duty 3M automotive molding tape.

One you remove them you will see why they don't stay on very well...

I had the same issue after having the skin of my T@B replaced following a hail storm.  The dealer (who is only a mile away) fixed it with some rubber cement looking stuff, but I think the above tape would work great too.

We got through Irma with lots of branches down...the T@b even got hit by some, but not a scratch!  The shell on it is amazing!  Here is a pic of the issue

Hmmm, that's even sketchier than the reflectors. I'm not sure if there's enough surface there to attach the tape to. If it doesn't work I might try some quality adhesive caulk.

The factory uses a caulk. Email repair@nucamprv.com and ask what caulk they use. Be careful of a leak there. The water will roll down the plywood and settle where the vinyl flooring meets the plywood. Keep it dry, but don't leave anything there that can mildew.
