Yes Mike - I inquired about this new touch screen for when I order my T@B. I really like it but am not sure I want to spend the extra $$ for the upgrade. Still debating!

I'm tempted also...for my 2014...but the current setup is simple and seems heavy duty...putting it on the "list" for certain...love the alde system. Good Luck.
Trying to find the email when my dealer checked w/the factory. I'm guessing ~$200? I inquired about getting it and having them install as it's being made.

Sounds great! Perhaps they can offer this as a factory option going forward.
The reason they don't do this already is for cost saving purposes (to make the base models more affordable I guess).
One of the features I look forward to using (hopefully) is the hot water boost mode -- it heats the water up higher (160-170f? temporarily, so you can take a longer shower or have hotter water if needed.
I hope the US models have this--the UK ones do (touchscreen is standard on all UK models).

It's like anything else, keeping up with the technology is difficult out of the gate. But I'm also guessing that with time, price reductions, volume, etc. that these touch screens will eventually be a part of the T@B builds. If it is something that will benefit people and make life easier and makes sense they'll incorporate things like this into their product line. And Wizard's point makes good sense and is well taken too!

Our 2014 CSS came with the standard thermostat, but a problem with the order from the dealer resulted in me getting the digital thermostat as a 'gift'. I'm a tech guy, so have been playing with it - it has a few features I like but I've gone back to the manual one for now. Mounting is a bit problematic (different dimensions) and I've not made the commitment to re-cut the wall to make this fit properly.
Wizard, I found, in the manual for the 'basic' control module (the 3010-214 model that's standard with the Tab), that the "boost mode" that you mention is available, simply by setting the control to 'hot-water-only' (the faucet-only symbol), as opposed to the combined 'cabin-heat / hot-water' setting.
It says that, with the 'hot water only' setting, the water temp goes to 65°C vs 55°C when the room heat is selected.
I too was considering installing the more advanced digital controller, but it didn't really add any features I would use. The clock and 'timed' turn-on/off was kind of neat, but I could reach the switch from the bed, so it was kind of redundant. And expensive, if bought from England.
I also thought the backlight might not be able to be turned off which would bother both my DW and I, as we like complete dark (we cover the stereo display, and unplug the television because of their constant on LEDs).

That's good to know, thanks for that info Chan! I guess I should read the manuals all the way through.
That puts me in the same boat as you as far as looking for more features, so it's now moved far down the priority list for me as well.

I got one but haven't had time to get into it - Hooked it up quick when it arrived (it has just 4 wires vs 6-8 on the analog) and got a "connection error". Anyone hooked one of these up? Seems odd that the digital would have fewer wires than the analog.
