Where Does The Rain Water Go?

I have not seen a post on this, so thought I would start here. I just picked up my T@B S M@xx and am wondering where the rain water goes when it's driven into the A/C vent. We have had terrific winds combined with rain. I am sure that it is making it's way through the exterior vent for the A/C. I am assuming that there is some type of drip tray under the A/C unit inside the T@B that is connected to a drain tube. I wold like to confirm this, as I want be be assured that my T@B remains dry and safe. I will probably get a cover made for the A/C vent for when it is in storage, just as extra insurance from water penetration, but in the mean time, it would like to be assured that all is well.

There is one previous discussion about an optional snap-on cover that can be snapped in place over the A/C vent. It doesn't address all of your concerns, but do a search on "snap on" to find it.

Yes, there is a drain pan under the A/C (at least there is in mine) with a drain tube to the outside.  This is for A/C mounted low.  I don't know about the ones mounted high up on the side.

I made a cover for the vent out of Plexiglas that I tape over it when in storage.  It keeps rain AND critters out.

My 2015 S with the high-mount A/C also has a drain pan, with tube in the shower wall which drains outside. Confirmed this by pouring water into the pan thru the hole in the shower wall behind the mirror and verifying that it was dripping onto the ground.  Photo of the pan thru the shower wall hole attached.

Thanks for the photo. I would never have guesed that such an access hole existed behind the mirror. Now it begs the question as to the purpose for the access.

It's easier to cut an access hole at the factory where they know where everything is, rather than cutting into one of the pipes later on. At least that makes sense to me. My house had shutoff valves for the tub inside the wall without an access hole. When one started leaking, I had to figure out what was causing the mess and it wasn't apparent which wall it was coming from.

I wonder where one could buy one of those "snap on" covers?   I've searched the T@B Store but can't find one.  Are they made by a shop locally?

Mike's advice was to call Elsie at the factory and she would set you up with one, John. She's a very nice lady, and very easy to work with.

My wife pointed out to me that one purpose for the cutout would be to pour a diluted bleach solution down the drain occasionally to clear any mold buildup that could block the drain hose. Probably worth doing that when the fresh water purification is happening...
