Outback & TV Ball Height

I have a new T@b built on an Outback axle. The top of my ball is 16" off the ground. If I put a level on the front of the T@b it looks like the hitch is at 20". I have a heck of a time getting the TV & T@b uncoupled. The top of the hitch slides back without a problem but getting the hitch & ball apart is the problem. When I raise the wheel on the T@b the back of my TV goes up with it.
Do I have the ball too low? Should it be at 20"s? This is my 1st time pulling anything so this is all new. Thanks for your help.

Your Outback axle gives you about 4 more inches of clearance. Not sure if that directly translates to 4 more inches higher at the ball, but I would think your ball should be higher than 16. What is your TV?Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

I know that others have had issues getting the coupling off of the ball and I'm sure that the angle is critical for this to work properly. You should put a level on the trailer and check to see if it is level when connected. If not, I would start there and see if that solves your problem. You should be pulling your trailer level regardless.IslandJo said:I have a new T@b built on an Outback axle. The top of my ball is 16" off the ground.
