rod and cable surge brakes

Hi, I have a 2005 T@B with AL-KO rod and cable surge brakes. I need new brake shoes, but I cannot find anyone who can get parts or has seen this type of system. The most recent mechanic said, "Ohhhh, you have those European brakes." I am in Southern California. Can anyone recommend a mechanic? And/or know where I can buy the parts myself?

Try a utility trailer business. The one I go to in Indiana seems to be familiar with them.

NuCamp has had the parts in the past.  The kit they supplied me had ALL the internal parts in the hubs.
There are operation, adjustment and maintenance manuals posted on this forum somewhere.

Most mechanics should have no problem with this very simple system.

If it has enough miles to wear out the brakes, it would be a good time to replace the bearings also.
